The Delany Coat in Silk Matka

The Delany coat has a box pleats at the shoulders, bell cuff sleeves, a gentle A-line body shape and a magnificent swing.

The Delany has two slanted pockets to the front, generous shorter length sleeves and is designed to fall to mid-low calf length.

The Delany is designed to be worn open. The two front panels should meet, but not overlap.

Collars

The Delany can be ordered with no collar, a Mandarin Collar or a Nehru Collar.

Body Shape

Hugely wearable, the Delany is particularly flattering on the more modestly chested Column, Apple and Pear shapes and is superbly suited to wearing above a shorter sleeve or flared sleeve dress. Those with curvier figures should opt for the Brett Coat which is available to order in the same fabric.

Fabric

Silk Matka is a wonderful linen-like pure silk fabric, extremely well-suited to summer and eveningwear. It scarcely creases, wears like a feather and is hugely versatile, dressing up smartly for weddings as well as it dresses down for the day-to-day. The Delany is available to order in all our silk matka colours:

Linings

We have suggested a lining and trim to match each colourway. You are free to chose others from our house selection. If you would like to plump for an alternative, please note this at checkout, specifying which you would prefer.

Shipment

If we are making to a standard size with bespoke adjustments, we aim to ship within 14 days. If you need yours more urgently, drop us an email and we will do our best!
