Bespoke Nicholson Coat in Boucle
The Nicholson coat is an easy to wear smart, structured shrug – a column shape that falls straight down from the shoulder and is worn open.
It is ideal for wearing over a dress or separates in the summer, about the office or house in the winter.
The Nicholson has generous bracelet length sleeves and neat pleats at the shoulder headers. Jetted pockets sit at a subtly slanted angle at the front.
The style can be worn inside or outside; being an open coat, it is particularly well-suited to wearing inside in winter and outside in the warmer months.
While the coat is styled to be worn on the calf, it can be cut shorter or longer to taste and works well as an everyday mid-length coat.
Body Type
The Nicholson is suited to the inverted triangle or the athletic frame – those with broader shoulders and smaller busts.
Altering the Nicholson
You can opt to have the Nicholson taken in or let out at the shoulders. It can also be cut to a longer or shorter length, and its sleeves lengthened or shortened. As alternatives to the pleated headers, you can opt for subtle gathers or box pleats.
