house sizing
EdNerat coats are made for real, wonderful women of all ages. Because elegance grows with age, because many of us are already there – and because we want everyone else to feel happy and represented when they get there – we have chosen to show all our coats on women over the age of 50.

From the outset, we determined that our coats should be elegantly and happily wearable by women of all shapes and sizes. Consequently, the coats are designed to appeal to a range of wardrobes and to work on different body types. We hope that you will find one that works for you.
We have measured and sized our coats on real women – but of course some of us have broader backs and deeper diaphragms, others fuller busts, narrower shoulders, higher hips ... and so the list goes on. If you need your coat tweaked from the house sizes listed below – or if you simply need a larger or smaller size – please do let us know. For the most part we should be able to.
Below you will see the measurements of the house sizes in all our styles. Please do be aware that the measurements given are the measurements of the garments themselves.
fittings
If you aren't sure whether a style will work for you or which size will fit you best, we have several different options. You are always welcome to make an appointment to visit us at home in mid-Wales where we hold stock in several different sizes and styles. It's beautiful ... but quite remote and perhaps not as immediately accessible as you might be hoping for! Alternatively,

style measurements
The tables below set out the outer measurements of each style in both inches and centimetres. The graphic and accompanying table show the points at which the measurements have been taken.
In selecting your size please remember that these are the outer measurements of each garments. Your own measurements will be smaller than those shown on the chart – ie a size 8 might typically have a bust measurement of 83cm, fitting a coat with a bust of 91cm.

When selecting your size, please bear in mind both the thickness of the fabric you have chosen and what you think you might want to wear underneath your coat and remember that while we can take coats in, we cannot let them out. If in doubt, please get in touch.

bespoke sizing
If you don't think our house sizes will do for you, please don't worry.

We can produce coats to longer or shorter lengths and with different bust, waist, shoulder, hip and arm measurements. Please contact us at info@ednerat.com. Indicate which model, fabric and size you are interested in, and which measurements you might need adapting. We will respond as swiftly as possible confirming whether we have sufficient fabric in stock to fulfil your order; we will then price it and start making it if we can. If we don't have – and can't obtain – a sufficient amount of your chosen fabric, we will seek to source you an alternative.

As with all adjustments to our house sizes and styles, once the necessary alterations are agreed we will let you know the costs involved. If you are happy to proceed we will then send you an invoice. We will request payment in full prior to cutting and making your coat. Making payment constitutes you placing an order with us. Please be aware that bespoke and modified coats cannot be returned.
