8 – The Biffin in French Blue Merino Flannel

The Biffin coat in a superbly soft blue lighter weight merino flannel in size 8. This is a wonderfully soft flannel – smart, elegant and easy to wear. 

The Style

The Biffin is one of the most shaped and tailored of our coats. It has a Nerhu collar, neatly tailored shoulders and a structure that mirrors the traditional hourglass shape.

Flattering for all sizes, this coat is designed with the broader, athletic frame in mind – those with a curvier shape might want to look at the Vasey which is a more shapely alternative. Generous full length sleeves are slitted at the wrist and have deep internal hems to allow a fold-back cuff. It has two hidden seam pockets and is designed to be worn low on the calf. 

When closed, the two front panels of the coat should be able to meet without either straining at the rear or overlapping at the front; they can be held together to keep the coat closed with any of our closures.

The Biffin is hugely flattering. This is a wonderfully soft pure merino flannel – smart, elegant and easy to wear. 

Although a merino wool, this is a lighter weight fabric – warm, but light.

Collar

The coat has a Nehru Collar as shown in the photographs.

Lining

Lined in Pewter Silk with a Dark Navy trim.
