An hourglass shaped coat n a truly smart limited edition mid-weight brocade. With a wool base it has a silky overweave – eye-catching, unusual and elegant – making for a superb mid-weight coat.

The Style

The Biffin is one of the most shaped and tailored of our coats. It has neatly tailored shoulders and a structure that mirrors the traditional hourglass shape.

Superbly flattering, this coat is designed with the broader, athletic frame in mind – those with a curvier shape might want to look at the Vasey which is a more shapely alternative. Generous full length sleeves are slitted at the wrist and have deep internal hems to allow a fold-back cuff. It has two hidden seam pockets and is designed to be worn low on the calf. 

When closed, the two front panels of the coat should be able to meet without either straining at the rear or overlapping at the front; they can be held together to keep the coat closed with any of our closures.

The Biffin is hugely flattering. 

Collar

This coat can be ordered with simple round neck as shown in the photographs, or with a Nehru Collar.

Lining

Lined in Silver Silk with a Powder Blue coloured Satin Trim.
